The following ingredients need to be mixed together thoroughly, and although this can be done by hand it is worth borrowing a blender if you don't have one. Most blenders have a tiny hole in the lid which could almost have been designed for adding essential oils, drop by drop, to blends. Make sure the lid is on tightly otherwise you could end up giving the entire kitchen a dry shampoo! Purified talc is the basis of many pharmaceutical drugs and most chemists stock the loose powder.
25g purified talc
Blend well together. Use about a teaspoon on a real bristle brush and brush through the hair on the days you don't wet-shampoo but when your hair still needs some attention.
Conditioning Pack For Greasy Hair
Greasy hair needs conditioning as much as any other type of hair. Mix the following ingredients together in a bain-marie:
1 tablespoon lecithin base
Put the lecithin in the bowl first, then add the sunflower oil, vodka and green clay. Frankly, you will now have a yucky mess, but carry on - it will be worth it!
Now add your essential oils for greasy hair and mix well:
Smear the mixture over your hair, leave on for ten minutes, then shampoo off.
Vinegar Rinse for Greasy Hair
Add 3 drops of thyme essential oil to 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar and mix to dissolve the Thyme as much as possible. Then add to half a pint of spring water. Add this to the final rinse water in a bowl, after shampooing, and run it through your hair several times to cover well.
